Bangalore memories: Never ending Love
This post is specifically dedicated to two very special people in my life.
Sayan and Satabdi. Yes, we did fight and did not speak to each other for a number of years, but a misconception can always be rectified and this turned out to be a beautiful friendship, which I would cherish for an entire lifetime.
I would never be oblivious of the first day when you were there to greet me on my arrival in Bangalore. Those memories are fresh and vivid in my mind. The first phase of our encounters have not been very friendly or maybe I wasn't quite familiar with you guys as I had the deepest fear in my heart to be judged.
Sayan- What can I say about you.... A very serious and grumpy man, engrossed in his mobile and books.... not enough words to say perhaps. My first impression was a bit disheartening only to be delighted to find out how good our friendship turned out to be. The reason to miss you would be the ample discussion of literature and movies only to find out our spouses, seemingly lost. I remember the literary fest which we had attended and had left them in utter disappointment. Though times have changed, I would always keep these memories very close to my heart.
Satabdi- My Tuktuki. The beautiful lady and a very close one indeed. I remember the various shopping expeditions we made in the city and our decision of not buying clothes; turning into a yes every time. My confidant for every phases in life. Our talks would never ever cease. Though we stay miles apart now, I still hold these memories very close to my heart.
How can I miss out our long drives on Mysore road, the innumerable times of visit to your place, our lazing around on weekends, weekend getaways to some most unknown places ..... I remember, the hectic weekdays would just die out with our daily texting and the excitement of weekends coming in would be just undiminished.
Though I am miles apart from you, Bangalore has gifted me with some very good friends in life. Though you are my husband's friends, eventually, I don't feel it the same way. It has been a blessing indeed to know you guys and I hope, we'll meet soon enough. The beautiful Saturday afternoon haunts me with the visit to Lepakshi... The memories of the serene afternoons and the sudden trips together keeps me alive till today.
I am unable to go out and visit you now, so here I refresh some of my memories with these snaps.
